2009 will mark my fifth time in Northern Ireland as an AIMer. (Associate in Missions)

There are a vast number of reasons why I have been drawn to Ireland. I'd love to share a few reasons for going and tidbits of what I'll be doing while there:

>> I've had a burden for Ireland for many years now - and for many more years I have felt a deep connection to the land and her people.

>> No where else on earth feels nearly so much like "home" in my heart. I feel privileged to be able to go there during the summers and assist with the churches there.

Some of the activities/responsibilites include:

>> Help with the new church that has been started in Dublin

>> Involving the local young people (pre-teens and teens) in productive, educational and fun activities to encourage them to become strong productive members of society who will encourage peace between the Irish Catholics and British Protestants instead of animosity.

>> Teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School
for young children.

>> Maintaining and updating church building and
grounds - sweat equity and manual labor - woo hoo!

>> Training & assisting missionaries with church marketing
materials to the local communities.

>> Developing & creating all marketing materials for maintaining a strong relationship with sponsors in the U.S.
